Quantum computing crossed the $1 billion revenue mark in 2025. IonQ became the first company in history to report over $100M in annual GAAP quantum revenue. Quantinuum filed for an IPO at a $20B+ valuation. Xanadu, Pasqal, and Infleqtion all went public or announced listings. Google’s Willow chip proved that error correction can scale. Amazon unveiled Ocelot. Microsoft revealed a topological qubit that most physicists said was impossible. Capital is flowing, hardware is shipping, and the gap between laboratory demonstrations and commercial deployments is closing faster than almost anyone predicted.

But which companies are leading, and which are still finding their footing? The Quantum Matrix is our attempt to answer that question with data rather than narrative. It scores 21 companies across two axes - commercial readiness and technical trajectory - using a proprietary model built on a broad array of measurable inputs drawn from public filings, verified technical demonstrations, and credible third-party sources. The result is a single chart that maps the quantum computing industry as it stands today: who is selling, who is building, who is breaking through, and who has the furthest to travel.
